Memorial to Enslaved Persons at Baylor University

An extremely ambitious and successful project to commemorate a complex and fraught history of the role of slavery in the founding of Baylor University. The landscape for this memorial is a major feature in the actual and symbolic heart of the campus - achieving both a functional landscape for university activities and social uses, while presenting a powerful memorial that confronts the complicated history of slavery at the University. A truly outstanding project in many respects.
