Phasing Freshwater

The jury noted:

Focusing on groundwater recharge, wetland retention, fog-dependent ecosystems, and moisture microclimates, this proposal creates a deeper ecological understanding of resilience across California’s critical zone. Compelling storytelling, enhanced by thoughtful visualization, addresses a key challenge and leverages research and design to guide us toward effective solutions, offering a meaningful contribution to contemporary debates on fire resilience, climate adaptation, and landscape infrastructure.
